icloud SMTP / POP / IMAP issue

Here are some suggestions for handling technical problems related to icloud smtb, pop & imap that could occur when using the email settings.

  • Switch to TLS if you receive an error message when using SSL.
  • Try port 465 if you’re having trouble sending emails on port 587.
  • When typing your email address, the majority of email clients require the complete address rather than simply the username. Take the following instances into consideration: [email protected] or [email protected] These two are both acceptable. But using “example” alone is not sufficient. In this case, if all else fails, remove the final part and use the username “example”.
